Why would you want to use Sentiment Analysis?


  • Allows participants to monitor specific watchwords and quickly assess the conversation sentiment. This is particularly useful during crisis simulations where the company brand is at stake: reputational damage, user complaints, disinformation campaigns etc. 
  • Sentiment analysis is important for widgets in Pulse 



Setting up Sentiment Analysis: Pattern of Life


1. Navigate to PoL tab

2. Create a new stack or import an existing stack

3. Click 'Analyse Sentiment'

4. Now, next to each piece of content there will be a sentiment

5. Add this stack to your deck

6. Upload your active deck to see these changes

Setting up Sentiment Analysis: MEL


1. Add an inject

2. Create a social media post 
 Image Placeholder
3. Generate a sentiment - this can be found below the text box.

4. Your inject will now has a sentiment analysis.

Player View: Social Watch & Sentiment Analyses 


1. In the player view navigate to social watch 

(Ensure you have activated it in Style > Channel configuration > Social watch)

2. Track a word or phrase, see the sentiment analysis on the top left hand corner.

Pulse and Sentiment Analysis  


1. Navigate to Pulse

Click the document icon in the facilitator dashboard, here you will find your Pulse URL

2. Create a new or import an existing dashboard and navigate to this dashboard

3. Add a Widget > Create Widget

4. Click on Hashtag Trends and then Save to add this widget.

5. This widget follows hashtags and the sentiment surrounding them. 

To expand the widget click on the bottom right corner of the widget and drag.
